Product Description

Inspired by traditional Japanese shou sugi ban, a wood burning technique that originated in the 18th century to make exterior wood weatherproof, this distinctive stool is cast from an actual burnt wood piece. This resin version has all of the texture of burnt wood without the mess of ash! Finished in a matte black color, the Charred stools have the look and feel of real burnt wood. Use indoors, or out to suit your design needs. When used outdoors, over time the finish will develop a bronze-like patina.
