Constantine Display Shelves

The Constantine Display Shelves bring a sculptural presence to functional storage, drawing inspiration from the elemental, stacked forms of Constantin Brancusi. Substantial solid-wood posts anchor the design, their natural cracks, grain and irregularities celebrated rather than concealed, while clean horizontal shelves create an architectural framework for displaying art, books and collected objects. The contrast between the weight and organic character of the timber and the restrained geometry of the shelves gives Constantine its distinctive presence. Open from every angle, the design feels equally at home against a wall or positioned within a room as a freestanding display piece.

Handcrafted in our New Mexico studio, each Constantine is made to order and inherently unique. Natural variations in the wood ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike, giving the shelving the character of an artisan-made object while retaining the versatility and durability required for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors.

• Ponderosa Pine [Source Verified Good Wood®} - Harvested primarily in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, the wood is seasoned for several months in a solar kiln and allowed to develop organic cracks and separations which occur naturally as the wood dries and shrinks. Time may accentuate these separations, or generate new ones. This movement is considered inherent to the natural beauty of the design.

CARE

• Interior Finish - Sealed with an eco-friendly, durable waterborne lacquer topcoat, our designs can be placed in interior residential or commercial spaces. This matte-sheen finish is long-lasting and meets KCMA durability requirements for commercial finishes. Features include: Odorless, Extremely Low VOC, HAPs Free, Formaldehyde Free, Phthalate Free and NFPA 255 Class A Rated For Flame Spread. To best care for your new piece simply dust with a dry, soft cloth. Spot cleaning may be done with a damp soft cloth. A mild soap solution may be used. Avoid care products with ammonia, silicone or other chemicals which may harm the finish. Periodic waxing will extend the life of the finish.
