| Item: Wool Felt Mat |
About: Ethnic modern felt mat, inspired by traditional African Kuba Cloths, designed by Pfeifer Studio and created exclusively by Stansborough Fibres at their New Zealand Studio.
Our luxurious felt mats tease your senses and beckon a bare foot rub. Place beside your bed, under your desk, in a bedroom doorway, in front of your bathroom vanity or anywhere else you might like to catch of soft step during the day.
Kuba Cloths, originally produced for ceremonial occasions by African tribes, were a source of inspiration to artists such as Klee, Picasso, and Matisse. We have added a uniquely post-modern perspective to the tradition by recreating a pattern from a traditional raffia Kuba Cloth in soft wool felt. A rubber pad is recommended when placing over a hard floor. |

| Eco-friendly: Stansborough Wool’s products are 100% environmentally safe. They use only natural colors or biodegradable overdyes, with no harmful acids used in the coloring. They come from a clean, green farm and wages are in line with other industries in New Zealand. They work with Alpaca wool and Gotland Sheep wool, which is one of the rarest in the world, developed from a primitive breed of sheep that dates back to the Vikings. Their designs are superior to more common wools that have been colored in harmful dyes and woven in harsh working conditions. |
