Sun at Six - Furniture Made Without Nails or Screws
Leather and White Oak Plume Chair
Talk about living in harmony with nature. When we met up with Brooklyn-based Sun at Six a few months ago, we immediately knew that their designs had something special
that would resonate with our clients. As they told us at they time, their aim is to "create designs that are simple, gentle, restorative, nourishing, open, and natural."
Put simply they believe that spaces help shape choices, actions, and moods in everyday life. Their contemporary, natural Asian furniture begins with quality materials:
raw, sustainably sourced white oak, house-made tung oil, and full-grain, vegetable-tanned leathers that patina with age.
Handmade cocktail tables finished in Tung Oil
They source leather from a family-owned tannery in Italy, and work with traditional Chinese joinery masters, who hand build each piece using ancient techniques.
This allows furniture built without nails or screws, which they finish with their own tung oil, pressed and made from raw tung tree nuts.
We selected the designs from their offering which we though would best compliment our own exclusive designs and are happy to announce that they are now online.
